How should I feed my dog?

Wie sollte ich meinen Hund ernähren?

Dog Nutrition - My Dog Poster There are many different ways to feed your dog – wet food, dry food, raw feeding, etc. As a dog owner, the following situation will surely be familiar to you: You're standing in the kitchen, looking forward to a delicious dinner, and you're chopping some carrots. Your dog is by your side, of course, in case something tasty falls. And then it happens: you drop a piece of carrot, and whoosh, your dog has gobbled it up. And then it starts again: you have to Google whether dogs can eat carrots.
To save you some work, we have put together a list of foods that dogs cannot tolerate (also makes a great printout for all new dog owners to put on the fridge).
  1. alcohol
  2. Eggplants
  3. avocado

You have to be very careful with foods marked with an exclamation mark, as these are particularly toxic and can be fatal to dogs.

Intolerances

Just like humans, dogs can also experience food intolerances and allergies. The dog's immune system reacts to certain foods. Typical symptoms and early warning signs can include itching, flatulence, vomiting, ear infections, or diarrhea.
One of the most common symptoms is itching. If you notice skin inflammation, hair loss, or red/flaky skin in your dog, this could be a sign of a food intolerance. However, it's advisable to visit your veterinarian to have your dog checked out.
If your dog shakes more than usual or his ears don't smell quite right, this could also be a sign of a food intolerance. However, intolerances can develop over the course of a dog's life.
As soon as you notice that something is wrong with your dog and he's exhibiting symptoms that could indicate an intolerance, take him to the vet. A blood test can measure allergen-specific antibodies, and your dog can receive prompt help.

BARF

BARFing is a very special form of nutrition. BARF stands for "biologically appropriate raw food." With BARFing, dogs are not given ready-made food, but only natural food. This includes raw meat, fish, and vegetables, for example. The goal is to mimic the natural and original diet of wolves. Before you begin BARFing, it's advisable to familiarize yourself with the topic in detail. Many foods are quite difficult for furry friends to digest in their raw state, such as some types of fish or beans. It's also a good idea to consult your veterinarian and have them check whether BARFing your dog makes sense.

Whether BARF, wet food or dry food: there is nothing more beautiful for dog owners than seeing how much dogs look forward to their food and how loyally they stand by our side at the slightest rustle of the food can and look at us with a look that makes us melt every time.

With your personalized dog poster, you can capture this feeling forever and remember shared adventures or cuddles with your dog. You'll notice that whenever you look at your dog's drawing in a quiet moment, many wonderful shared moments come to mind, bringing a smile to your face.

Designing your very own personalized dog poster is easy. Simply enter your dog's name and select their breed. You can then choose the base color of your dog poster to perfectly match your decor. Entering your dog's date of birth and a personal dedication will make your dog poster truly special. To make things even easier for you, you can also choose a matching frame from us.

If you would like to immortalize your dog or give one of your canine friends a very personal gift, then design your own individual dog poster now.
